Cattle waterers are made of brass, which has excellent wear resistance. The waterer contains a shell, push rod, sealing ring, spring, and pressure cap or spring retainer. The spring wire inside the waterer must be no less than 1.1mm thick. After installation, a water pressure test must be performed; the test value must be between 2.5KG and 4.5KG. The waterer must not leak or splash.

Its working principle is that the cattle's tongue presses against the valve plate, triggering the valve core switch to achieve on-demand water supply and automatic shut-off. A complete system may include mounting fasteners such as clamps and bolts.
